Interactive Website for Feminist Theologians

In response to various requests, especially from our recent 2005 Brigit celebrations, IFR has compiled, (with help from various Old Irish and Celtic lists) the following set of links to help those wishing to search Irish mythology, manuscripts, and language. All the sites mentioned here are reputable academic sources. The last one describes herself as “amateur” but contains some good material. Feel free to share this list with interested others.

The Global Repoductive Health Forum at Harvard launched a Women of Color Web, an exciting on-line initiative that offers an electronic space to expore the intersection of gender and race on topics such as feminism, sexuality, and reporductive health and rights. The Westsite brings together critical scholarship with contemporary Internet resources and provides access to full-length scholarly articles, book chapters, critical essays, and links to related resources.

The Women of Color Web is dedicated to providing access to writings by and about women of color in the U.S. They focus specifically on issues related to feminism, sexualities, and reproductive health and rights. the site also provides links to organizations, discussion lists, and academic tools concerned specifically with women of color.

Other Organizations

The New Island website is now well and truly up and running. I have been updating the content of the site and the blurb / review data for books published this year and for highlights, and while there is still alot more data to be added, we are almost up-to-date.

A section on the Open Door series has now been added, as have links for author biog etc (these will go live very soon).

If you are an author, there are a number of ways that this site can work most effectively for you:

1) If you would like me to add any data or links please email me (put website in the subject line).
2) Encourage friends or relatives to submit a review or two of your book to Amazon -- the New Island site sells through Amazon.
3) Put a link to the New Island site in the signature or at the bottom of your emails.

Best regards and thanks,
