Greetings from the Planning Committee. We are delighted that you are going to attend the Institute For Feminism and Religion summer event.
We include some practical details with the mailing.

WHEN: July 1 – 7, 2006.
REGISTRATION: 4:00pm onwards on July 1. Supper 6:00pm.
Opening Session: 7:30pm – 9:30pm, July 1
DAILY SCHEDULE:
Participants can offer optional Meditative or Body Work before breakfast.
Breakfast: 8:45am
Morning Sessions: 9:30 – 12:45 with a break
Lunch: 1:00pm
Afternoon sessions: 2:30pm- 5:45pm
Supper: 6:00pm
Evening: process and planning groups, cultural sessions
ENDING: The event will close on Friday July 7 at noon. No lunch is provided on Friday.
FIELD TRIP: A field trip to an ancient heritage site will be included in the week.
BEDROOMS: We are able to assign a single room to all those who have applied by May 15. If wish to share a room with another participant, please indicate that fact on the enclosed form. Some rooms are also three or four bedded.
DIETARY OR OTHER NEEDS: Please return the enclosed form giving us any information that would help us further in our planning.
ADVANCE EVENT: We are considering an Advance Event featuring some of the Woman-Spirit speakers. This would be held in Dublin on Friday evening, June 30. If this advance event goes ahead, we will send
further information by e-mail in June.

An Grianan is located in the village of Termonfeckin approx 5 miles or 8 km northeast of Drogheda Co Louth which is half an hour north of Dublin Airport by coach or car.
You can get to Drogheda from Dublin airport by aircoach, which departs on the hour every hour between 0700 and 21 00 hours. Timetable available at www.aircoach.ie Check you are on the correct coach as there are different routes. The Drogheda drop- off is on the Dublin airport to Belfast route. Travel time half an hour. Cost 7 euro.
Drogheda can also be reached from Dublin; by bus from Busaras, the central bus station. Buses leave approx every hour through the day and take one hour fifteen minutes
By train from Connolly station or Pearse station also at regular intervals and taking just under one hour.

From Drogheda to An Grianan it is necessary to take a taxi. If people are arriving in Drogheda on Sat afternoon 1st July it may be possible to arrange a pickup point and time which will be advised later. If you want to do this please let us know your arrival time in Drogheda.
Costs should be approx 12 to 15 euro from Drogheda to An Grianan. For Drogheda taxi, call 98 32244 if already in Drogheda or add the prefix 041 if calling from outside the local area. A Termonfeckin based taxi service is also available.

If you wish to take a taxi direct from the airport to An Grianan you should agree the price before setting off.
You will be travelling northwards on the main Dublin-Dundalk (Belfast) motorway, M1, for approx. 30 miles. (Toll fee €1.60, 2005)
Drive through the new Cable Bridge at Drogheda and take the first exit (Drogheda North Exit). At the roundabouts, follow the signs for Drogheda.
This will take you on to the North Road. Take first left turn to the Lourdes Hospital and follow the road over till you meet a T-junction. Take a left and immediate right and continue on that road (Crushrod Avenue) until you meet traffic lights.
At the lights, take a left turn and continue for 5 miles until you reach the village of Termonfeckin. Pass the church on your right, and take the next right turn. This will take you uphill, past the local school. An Grianan is the next entrance on the left.
